Business Development Advisor

Do you have a talent for building relationships, spotting opportunities, and helping businesses grow through skills and training? This is your chance to make a real impact in a role that combines purpose, people, and progress.

We’re representing a long-established and well-respected training provider, recognised for delivering high-quality apprenticeships and adult learning across the East Midlands. Following a strong Ofsted ‘Good’ rating, the organisation continues to grow – and they’re now seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Advisor to join their friendly, high-performing team.

Main Purpose

You’ll play a key part in helping employers connect with apprenticeship and training opportunities, developing new business relationships and ensuring every partner receives an excellent level of service.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong employer partnerships across a range of sectors.
  • Generating apprenticeship and upskilling opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Planning and delivering creative sales campaigns via phone, social media, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Attending networking events and representing the organisation as a trusted ambassador.
  • Conducting Training Needs Analyses and supporting employers through the engagement process.
  • Ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met accurately and efficiently

About You

You’ll be a confident communicator with a genuine interest in education and workforce development. A natural relationship builder, you’ll thrive on achieving targets and seeing your efforts translate into new opportunities for learners and employers alike.

To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • A proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience generating your own leads and managing the full sales cycle.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and the wider FE sector would be an advantage, but enthusiasm and determination are just as important.

Why You’ll Love It Here

You’ll join a supportive, values-driven organisation that genuinely invests in its people. Enjoy a flexible hybrid working model, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, and health and wellbeing benefits – all while helping to shape futures through high-quality training and education.
