Ready to step off the tools—but not away from your trade?

If you’re an experienced electrician who takes pride in high standards and wants to give something back to the industry, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

This role offers the chance to transition into education—without losing touch with the sector you know and love. You’ll be shaping future electricians, sharing your knowledge, and helping others build meaningful, long-term careers.

Main Purpose

You’ll be joining a well-established, independent training provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality training across the energy and infrastructure sector.

With a “Good” Ofsted rating and a genuine focus on learner success, this organisation has built its reputation on doing things the right way—putting people, quality, and outcomes at the heart of everything they do.

They’re known for their supportive, down-to-earth culture, where staff are trusted, valued, and encouraged to grow. It’s a place where your experience is respected—and where you’ll have the opportunity to influence the next generation of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

This is far more than a teaching role—it’s a chance to shape careers, inspire confidence, and make a lasting impact.

As an Electrical Tutor / Assessor, you’ll:

  • Contribute to the development of training programmes and course content
  • Work closely with a small, collaborative team that values fresh ideas and continuous improvement

You’ll have the freedom to bring your industry experience into the classroom—making learning relevant, practical, and inspiring.

One of the biggest attractions of this opportunity is the lifestyle change it offers.

  • No weekend work
  • No long days on-site
  • Structured, predictable hours (Monday to Friday)
  • A supportive environment where you can focus on quality over pressure

It’s an ideal move if you’re looking for greater balance, stability, and long-term career development—while still staying connected to the electrical industry.

This position is perfect if you are:

  • A qualified electrician ready to step into teaching for the first time
  • An experienced tutor or assessor looking for a fresh, more supportive environment
  • Passionate about mentoring others and sharing your knowledge
  • Looking for a role with purpose, progression, and stability

Teaching or assessing qualifications are not essential—full training and support will be provided.

What’s in It for You?

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from a package designed to support your wellbeing, development, and work-life balance:

  • Salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • 36 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Additional paid time off over Christmas
  • Pension scheme and life insurance
