Employment Advisor (Part-Time / 20 Hours Per Week) (Temporary until March 2025)

Educated Appointments are thrilled to be supporting one of our clients who are a training organisation based in Nottingham to recruit a fixed term, part-time Employment Advisor.

The client is a well-established leading training organisation working in and around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. They provide a range of employment related training including Full Time Programmes, Apprenticeships, Employability, Adult Learning Loans and work experience opportunities for adults and young people from diverse backgrounds, that will enhance individuals’ employment potential and qualifications. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, they retained their “Good” rating and are continuously developing and improving their provision.

Main Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to identify potential candidates for the UKSPF project Access Works via a variety of methods including engagement with job centres, referral partners and direct applicants. Employment Advisors will carry out screening and high quality IAG of learners to ensure suitability before enrolling participants on to the UKSPF project. You will engage with and progress participants on the UKSPF project into training, education or employment as appropriate to their needs. The successful individual will manage a caseload of UKSPF participants, providing them with employability skills, support and sign posting to external partners for specialist needs.

- To proactively engage with potential candidates for the UKSPF project.

- Achieve project KPI’s.

- To conduct interviews by telephone and in person, to pre-screen.

- Complete enrolment paperwork with participants electronically.

- To liaise with employers for vacancies/referral partners regarding participants and act upon their queries.

- To maintain a monitoring tool, and participants activity records of all interactions.

- Maintain effective communication regularly with all participants.

- Progress participants.

- Provide evidence of ‘Outputs and outcomes’ relevant to the UKSPF project.

- Produce weekly reports for submission to Employability Contracts Manager

- To contribute to the generation of new opportunities / business in general and to participate in marketing activities for all activities.

- To follow company procedures and policies including equality of opportunity, health and safety and safeguarding.

- To undertake any other duties/projects relevant to the post.
