A respected engineering training provider is looking to recruit a Fabrication & Welding Instructor to join their team in Hull. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role where you’ll be delivering practical training to apprentices and adult learners preparing for careers in welding, pipe fitting, and sheet metal work.

Main Purpose
All training delivery is backed by a supportive teaching team and internal resources to help you succeed.
Responsibilities
As a Welding & Fabrication Instructor, your role will include:
- Delivering practical training in welding, plating, pipefitting, and fabrication
- Supporting apprentices through Level 3 qualifications
- Sharing industry knowledge and instilling professional standards
- Promoting health & safety best practices in the workshop
- Working with young learners and adults to build technical competence and confidence
What You’ll Need:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong experience in welding and fabrication (specialising in pipefitting, sheet metal, or plating)
- A City & Guilds Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for occasional travel)
- A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring future engineers
Teaching qualifications are not essential. If you don’t already hold one, full funding and support will be provided to help you complete the relevant training in your own time.
