HR Apprenticeship Tutor

Are you someone who genuinely loves helping others grow? Do you thrive on great conversations, rich professional discussions and supporting learners to reach their full potential? If developing future HR leaders sounds motivating, this role could be an incredibly fulfilling next step.

We’re partnering with a trusted, values-led apprenticeship provider with an outstanding reputation for quality. Known for its personalised learner support, exceptional assessment standards and warm, collaborative culture, this organisation is expanding its delivery team to meet growing demand. They’re now looking for an inspiring Tutor/Coach to support learners on the Level 7 Senior People Professional Apprenticeship — someone who brings enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine desire to see people flourish.

Main Purpose

This isn’t a tick-box delivery role. It’s a chance to be part of something that feels meaningful.

This provider is known for:

A deeply personalised approach

Each tutor manages a caseload of around 40 learners, allowing you the time and space to understand each individual’s journey, strengths and challenges. Sessions are tailored, supportive and paced to help learners grow confidently and consistently.

Quality that stands out

Learners and employers choose this provider because feedback is detailed, thoughtful and actionable — often 900–1,000 words per assignment. It's a level of depth that sets them apart in the sector and underpins their exceptional reputation.

A culture built on integrity

They do things ethically, sustainably and with care. No cutting corners. No pressure to overpromise. Just honest, high-quality apprenticeship delivery rooted in strong values.

A safe, supportive team environment

New tutors receive a structured induction, shadowing opportunities and access to colleagues who genuinely want to share knowledge. You’ll never feel like you’re “just a number”.

A focus on facilitation, not lecturing

Sessions are about sparking great conversations, encouraging reflection and helping learners develop real professional confidence. This is a place where your personality matters just as much as your subject expertise.

Responsibilities

As a Tutor/Coach, you’ll guide HR and leadership professionals through a transformational learning journey, helping them build capability, confidence and a deep understanding of strategic people practice.

Your work will involve:

  • Delivering engaging online sessions that encourage discussion and critical thinking.
  • Facilitating group workshops, supporting learners to explore real-world HR challenges.
  • Providing rich, developmental feedback that strengthens understanding and keeps learners progressing.
  • Carrying out assessments and observations to capture competency in practice.
  • Completing detailed progress reviews with both learners and their employers.
  • Building strong relationships with organisations to ensure training aligns with workplace goals.
  • Travelling quarterly for face-to-face review meetings plus the occasional learner visit elsewhere (mileage paid at 45p per mile).
  • Encouraging learners from all backgrounds, ensuring inclusion and accessibility remain at the heart of your delivery.

Every learner is seen at least monthly, with flexibility to increase touchpoints depending on needs. Some tutors choose to run small-group sessions, sometimes supporting up to 10 learners in a single day — offering variety and a chance to foster community across cohorts.

Who this role suits

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Hold a teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., CAVA, TAQA, A1, PTLLS, PGCE).
  • Have a strong HR, leadership or people development background.
  • Hold a Level 5 or Level 7 qualification in HR/leadership (or comparable professional experience).
  • Enjoy delivering to adult learners and enabling discussion-based, collaborative learning.
  • Are confident working from home and managing your own diary.
  • Are motivated by helping people build skills that change their careers — and their lives.

You don’t need decades of delivery experience. If you’re a people-centred HR professional with the right qualifications and a passion for teaching, you’ll be supported to step confidently into this role.
