Main Purpose
This isn’t just a teaching role. It’s about inspiring confidence, building skills, and shaping real career journeys. You’ll be helping to deliver Level 3 and 4 IT apprenticeship programmes and Cyber courses funded by the Adult Skills Fund (ASF), blending practical know-how with a supportive, hands-on coaching approach.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and assessing a range of digital learning programmes, including Level 3 & Level 4 Apprenticeships and Cyber Security short courses.
- Using your IT expertise to design and deliver engaging, practical learning experiences—both in person and online.
- Providing tailored feedback and guidance that helps every learner make progress, regardless of their starting point.
- Collaborating with employers to manage caseloads, support learner progression, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participating in employer engagement events, open days, and taster sessions to support recruitment and inspire learners.
- Using data to monitor learner achievement, identify risks to timely completion, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Making reasonable adjustments for learners with additional needs, and maintaining safeguarding as a top priority.
What We're Looking For
- 3–4 years of solid, hands-on IT industry experience — ideally in infrastructure, networking, systems, or cybersecurity.
- A Level 5 qualification in IT (or higher).
- A confident communicator who can motivate, mentor, and inspire.
- Someone who can plan and deliver digital learning in a creative and accessible way.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and high-quality learning experiences.
- A teaching qualification such as PTLLS is desirable, but not essential—we value experience and attitude just as much.
What’s on Offer
- A competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
- A flexible working approach, including hybrid delivery.
- Ongoing CPD and development opportunities to keep you growing in your role.
- A forward-thinking, inclusive working environment that supports work-life balance.
- The chance to work for an organisation that genuinely values learner outcomes and employer engagement.
- An employer that takes safeguarding seriously, with all appointments subject to enhanced DBS and professional online checks (provided at no cost to you).
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
The organisation is committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities it serves. If you have a disability or come from a diverse ethnic background and meet the essential criteria, you will be guaranteed an interview.
They also support the Ban the Box campaign—helping individuals with previous convictions access employment—and offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
If you’re ready to move from practitioner to mentor, and want to be part of something meaningful—this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
