Learner & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor

Educated Appointments are proud to be working with a highly respected and Ofsted “Good” rated training provider, who for decades have been helping people across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to unlock their potential and progress into meaningful employment. They deliver apprenticeships, employability programmes, adult learning and tailored training – supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds to take their next steps.

They are now seeking a passionate and proactive Learner & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join their employability team and be at the very heart of that mission.

Main Purpose

This isn’t just another recruitment role – it’s about changing lives. Every day you’ll be out in the community, meeting learners, employers and referral partners, sparking opportunities and guiding individuals on a path to brighter futures. Whether it’s a young person looking for their first step into work, or an adult wanting to retrain and rebuild confidence, you’ll be the person who helps them get there.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same, but you’ll typically:

  • Engage with learners across the East Midlands through job centres, careers hubs and referral partners – ensuring employability programmes are accessible to those who need them most.
  • Promote training opportunities through events, social media, local networks and partnerships – keeping classes full and buzzing.
  • Deliver high-quality IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) – making sure each learner is on the right course and has the right support to succeed.
  • Mentor and motivate learners – from CV writing and job searches to interview prep and confidence-building.
  • Work with employers to understand recruitment needs and develop opportunities such as SWAPs (Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes).
  • Manage enrolments and records with accuracy, ensuring smooth onboarding and excellent learner experience.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be the kind of person who thrives on building connections and seeing people progress. To succeed, you’ll need:

  • Experience in learner and/or employer engagement.
  • A minimum Level 2 IAG qualification.
  • Great people skills – approachable, confident, a good listener and communicator.
  • IT literacy, especially with MS Office and data systems.
  • A driving licence and access to your own vehicle (you’ll be out and about across the region).

It would also be a bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of apprenticeships, employability or funded training programmes.
  • Experience working with Jobcentre Plus, careers hubs or other community partners.
