Learner & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor (Employability)

We are seeking an energetic and driven Learner & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join the Employability team. 

Main Purpose

This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and supporting potential learners through various referral sources including job centres, referral partners, and direct applicants. The role also involves engaging with employers to identify recruitment needs and offer sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) services.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with learners to drive enrolments onto employability programmes across the East Midlands, meeting monthly targets.
  • Attend recruitment events and sessions to promote programmes and attract learners.
  • Utilise a range of advertising channels including social media, websites, and referral partners to generate applications.
  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face pre-screening interviews, providing high-quality IAG to ensure learner suitability.
  • Support learners with enrolment, preparing them for programme start dates or employer interviews.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and administrative systems, ensuring data is correctly logged and tracked.
  • Build relationships with employers and referral partners, promoting programmes and arranging placements or vacancies.
  • Provide an efficient customer service function, responding to learner and employer queries.
  • Contribute to marketing activities and support business development opportunities.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in learner and employer engagement is essential.
  • Minimum IAG Level 2 qualification.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills – able to confidently engage with diverse groups and individuals, including cold calling and follow-up visits.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the training sector, particularly within employability and funded programmes.
