You’ll play a key role in training the next generation of engineers through engaging, hands-on instruction, helping learners develop both practical skills and industry knowledge.

Main Purpose
Your work will directly contribute to the development of skilled apprentices and adult learners—helping them grow into confident, capable engineers.
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Instructor, you’ll use your industry experience to deliver high-quality training and support across a range of technical subjects, including:
- Mechanical maintenance
- Hand tools and workshop safety
- Health & safety procedures
- Introduction to hydraulics and pneumatics
- CAD fundamentals (desirable, but not essential)
- Supporting apprentices through Level 3 engineering qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for individuals who are eager to pass on their knowledge and support learners on their journey into the engineering sector. You’ll need:
- Industry experience in mechanical maintenance
- A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Engineering
- Familiarity with workshop tools and health & safety protocols
- Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
Teaching qualifications are NOT essential. Whether you're new to teaching or already qualified, support and funding will be provided to complete the relevant qualifications (in your own time).
