This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious training provider that is committed to delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training programmes across a range of professional, creative, business and improvement-focused sectors.
Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to play a key role in maintaining and further developing a strong quality culture across the organisation. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with delivery, curriculum, operations and compliance teams to ensure learners receive an outstanding experience from enrolment through to achievement.

Are you passionate about quality, learner experience and continuous improvement within apprenticeship provision?
Main Purpose
As Quality Manager, you will support the ongoing development of quality assurance activity across apprenticeship provision, helping to ensure consistently high standards in teaching, learning, assessment, compliance and learner support.
Working closely with senior leaders, tutors, assessors, curriculum teams and compliance colleagues, you will coordinate quality assurance processes including OTLA activity, IQA sampling, learner progress monitoring, quality reporting and continuous improvement planning.
This is a hands-on, influential role where your insight, coaching approach and attention to detail will directly contribute to the quality of education, learner outcomes and overall performance of the organisation.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead and coordinate quality assurance activity across apprenticeship provision.
- Plan and complete observations of teaching, learning and assessment, learning walks and developmental feedback sessions.
- Carry out IQA checks to ensure learner evidence and assessment decisions are accurate, consistent and compliant.
- Support the embedding of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Apprenticeship Accountability Framework expectations.
- Monitor learner progress, timely completion, engagement and achievement in collaboration with operations and compliance colleagues.
- Analyse quality data, learner feedback and employer feedback to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement.
- Produce quality reports, KPI updates and improvement actions for senior leadership and board reporting.
- Support tutor development through coaching, CPD, standardisation and quality forums.
- Maintain accurate quality records across internal systems, including learner reviews, off-the-job evidence, safeguarding documentation and audit trails.
- Support preparation for external audits, Ofsted activity and funding assurance reviews.
- Promote a strong culture of safeguarding, inclusion, learner support and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the delivery of Quality Practitioner training and support learners through successful completion.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and passionate about raising standards within apprenticeship or further education provision.
You will have a strong understanding of quality assurance in work-based learning and be comfortable using quality activity to support meaningful improvement, not just compliance. You will be able to build positive relationships with tutors, leaders and operational teams, offering constructive challenge and supportive coaching where needed.
You will bring:
- Experience within apprenticeship delivery, further education or work-based learning.
- A strong understanding of apprenticeship quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of Ofsted expectations, including current inspection guidance.
- Experience of OTLA observations and/or IQA activity.
- Good knowledge of apprenticeship compliance, DfE funding rules and awarding organisation requirements.
- The ability to analyse data, identify patterns and support improvement planning.
- Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence using digital systems such as Bud, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A learner-focused, professional and improvement-led approach.
- A good understanding of safeguarding, Prevent Duty, learner support and personal development within further education and skills.
Qualifications
Essential:
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent.
- Experience within apprenticeship or further education provision.
Desirable:
- IQA qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.

You will have the chance to shape quality processes, support tutor development, influence learner experience and contribute to an ambitious organisation that is focused on helping adults develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed.
You will be joining a supportive team that values collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to play a key role in the next stage of the provider’s growth.
