Main Purpose
As a Residential Childcare Tutor, you’ll deliver impactful and inclusive learning experiences across multiple funding streams. You'll manage a diverse caseload, provide tailored support, and help learners achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning programmes for Residential Childcare qualifications.
- Support learners through tailored coaching, regular reviews, and constructive feedback.
- Monitor learner progress, manage risk, and ensure timely completion of qualifications.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Recognised Assessor qualification (e.g., A1, D32/33, or TAQA)
- Experience working to OFSTED quality standards
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, especially Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
- Excellent communication, organisation, and coaching skills
- Proficiency with digital tools to support blended learning
Desirable:
- Experience delivering or assessing Level 5 qualifications in Residential Childcare or Management
- IQA qualification
