Senior Leader Apprenticeship Assessor
Are you a senior leader who enjoys developing other leaders — and wants to use your experience in a role that values quality over quantity, flexibility over rigid structures, and genuine learner impact over ticking boxes?
An established national apprenticeship provider is seeking a Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Assessor to join its leadership and management provision. This is a timely opportunity to support an existing cohort of senior leaders while helping the organisation maintain continuity, quality, and high standards during a period of consolidation.
This is a fully remote role, with flexibility at its core. While advertised as full-time, the organisation is open to part-time arrangements (for example, three days per week) for experienced professionals who want to focus purely on assessment and learner support.
Are you a senior leader who enjoys developing other leaders — and wants to use your experience in a role that values quality over quantity, flexibility over rigid structures, and genuine learner impact over ticking boxes?
Main Purpose
You’ll work with learners on the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship, many of whom are already operating at director, head-of-service, or executive level. Your role will be to guide, challenge, and support them through their apprenticeship journey — from structured progress reviews to successful End Point Assessment.
Responsibilities
This role has been designed with experienced professionals in mind.
Rather than large caseloads and relentless targets, you’ll find:
- Manageable learner numbers.
- A 100% online delivery model.
- A culture that prioritises quality, compliance, and learner experience.
- A leadership team that is open, pragmatic, and genuinely flexible.
You’ll be trusted to do your job well, supported by strong internal processes, and given space to focus on what matters most: helping senior leaders succeed.
Key elements of the role include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching, coaching, and assessment aligned to the Level 7 standard
- Supporting learners to build robust portfolios of evidence and progress confidently toward EPA
- Providing clear, developmental feedback and setting purposeful SMART targets
- Conducting monthly progress reviews and formal reviews in line with funding rules
- Ensuring all learner and employer documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
- Acting as a professional point of contact for learners and employers, resolving issues and maintaining momentum
Quality and compliance are taken seriously, but never at the expense of learner relationships. Safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values are embedded naturally into delivery rather than treated as a bolt-on.
This role would suit someone who:
- Holds a Level 7 qualification (such as an MBA, MSc Leadership, or equivalent senior leadership award)
- Has significant experience operating at senior or executive level
- Holds a recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification
- Has experience delivering or assessing apprenticeships (Level 7 experience is advantageous but not essential)
- Understands apprenticeship standards, EPA requirements, and funding rules
You’ll be confident engaging with senior professionals, comfortable using digital platforms, and organised enough to manage your caseload without unnecessary pressure.
If you’re an experienced leader who wants to step into a credible, flexible, and genuinely rewarding Level 7 assessor role, this could be an excellent next move.
